Because nobody in Colorado even knows the Buffaloes exist.

There is strong rivalry and passion in the state of Texas.

Sometimes it crosses the line, but it is passion nonetheless.

Colorado might as well cancel all its athletics.
Nobody cares. It has no rivalry, no fans, and no money.

The PAC-12 would give anything to give them back....but NOBODY and I mean NOBODY wants that steaming pile of bankruptcy and apathy.

It really does irritate the shit out of that fucker that everybody in the Big 12 raised their arms and yawned when CU announced they were leaving the Big 12......

Hell I would trade Colorado for Utah State or BYU.

Then you have the whole 2 team regional think in tact again

UW WSU
UO OSU
Cal Stanford
UCLA USC
UA ASU
Utah (BYU/USU)

Its a poooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooor aggie thing.

It means "beat the hell out of ______________"

Those weirdo cult aggies chant it all game long sometimes.
They say it in passing to fellow Ags as well.

Usually the team is Texas (who almost always beats the Aggies).

So, it makes little sense as a chant when you never ever can BTHO of Texas.

I think they should stick with

BTHO of Sam Houston
BTHO of UTEP
BTHO of Lamar
BTHO of Rice

Hey John,

Its like a giant disfunctional family. We fight and argue among ourselves. Thats just the way we are. Football is hugely popular in Texas and we are all very passionate about our team. It starts with high school, goes through college, and the pros. Cowboy fan and Texan fan bicker back and forth also.

My work takes me all over the country and I have not seen the level of passion that is typical of what you find in Texas. I told a local in Washington state that the team from his town won the state championship. He didn't even know they were in the playoffs. In small town Texas, when the local team is in the playoffs, the last one out of town turns off the lights. On Friday nights you can look across Houston, Dallas, San Antonio, Austin and see lights from several stadiums. I spent a football season in Denver and saw very few.

I've actually been watching Longhorn football and wish them well. I don't need my hate of texas university to define my aggieness. Except when rustling jimmies on the message board.

It's hard for the two fan bases to get along.

Longhorns see Aggies as a bunch of dumb farmers. hence, all the poor aggy jokes.

Aggies see Longhorns as a bunch of spoiled rich kids. "tea-sips, tea sippers, etc."

Been that way for over a hundred years. And like Droop said, unless you spend some time in Texas you won't understand.

I expected more from 'educated' people.

Any kid with a spray can is able to vandalize. Use your imagination for crying out loud.

Sad but I shouldn't have expected any better from the Aggies.

I have to agree with the pooooooooor aggie fans (vomit).

This is a rivalry.

It is important to the state at all levels.

Yes, they are backwoods inbred rightwing cult lunatic farmers who always LOSE to Texas.

And, yes we might be wealthy sissy spoiled brats who always BEAT the Aggies.

But, we do share a mutual respect for the RIVALRY

Whenever someone crosses the line, both sides will condemn the idiocy.

It's the lack of imagination I disagree with.

If they had done something like, run an Aggie flash mob onto the field at half time in our house - that would be have funny and shown some intelligence.

But just grabbing a can of spray paint?

THAT'S the best they can do?

There really hasn't been as much rivalry between Texas and Texas Tech as other combos.

The Horns have their thing with Oklahoma outside of Texas A&M.
And after that it was always Arkansas......or even Cougar High....

Lubbock and College Station are extremely fierce rivals.

The Red Raiders and Aggies might hate each other more than Longhorns/Aggies.

i just find it funny how texas fans feel the need to bash aggie all the time due in most part to their ego. they try to diminish aggie as unimportant because "WE" own all of texas and theres no other of school of note in the rest of the stinking state. they say: "aggie who? or the school in college station. their kinda like texas tech....nothing really happening there."

so what does aggie do? they hate that they get downgraded like that and regulated to "one of the texas schools not named UT" they hate being put in that category so they try to distance themselves from those other "non UT, texas schools" by bashing them (particularly texas tech) all the time. its a case of them saying "hey were aggie, we may not be UT.....but we are pretty damn good ourselves and not like the rest of the shit thats in the texas system"

so what does tech do???? they bash houston.......:L

and then theres the whole relationship between smu, tcu, & Baylor:L:L

the amount egos & inferiority complex's running around in this state is insane. i swear rice is the only school in the entire state of texas that doesnt feel the need to compulsively bash other texas schools.

Look, John, you really don't have a clue.

I wouldn't presume to make such assertions about the Mich/OSU rivalry, or any other statements about the state of Ohio/Michigan pertaining to the rivalry, because I don't live there, or have stayed there any length of time. Thus, I therefore would not consider myself knowledgeable enough to make such statements.

Get it? Why don't you go run on about some other topic you don't know shit about, somewhere else. And quit trolling Texas people with your bullshit.

I never understood why Aggy never acknowledged TTECH as their rival.
