Besides the Broncos there is little comparison.

Hence my claim this series of matchups is good for the Broncos.

Not considering what the Seahawks did to the Broncos. The Broncos are probably looking at a third place finish at best if they were in the NFC West.

You might be right. I guess the point here is that I believe that the NFC West is better, overall, than the AFC West. I don't think Denver would beat out Seattle, but they could, on any given day, beat S.F., though it would be a close game. Even Arizona and the Rams would hang with Denver.......at least for awhile.

Possibly but we'll never know. My picks are Broncos wins over all but the Seahawks. I'd likely pick a win over the Seahawks if it were home game for the Broncos. I think the Broncos are good enough to handle the Niners at home, and are hands down better than the Cardinals, who they also get at home.
Now the Rams are a team that some Broncos fans feel can beat us. They are a team solid enough to be 7-9 in a year where the NFC West posted one of the most solid finishes in recent league history, and that was with several key injuries. Plus the Broncos get them as the 3rd in three consecutive road games, so there may be some major road fatigue issues at that point for the Broncos.

I can see the Seahawks struggling some this year. They could very easily post a .500 season and a 3rd place finish or worse in the NFC West.

The Hawks were in 8 games last year where the outcome was decided by one score. They lost 2 of those and of the 6 they won 2 were in OT, 2 were by 5 points and the other 2 by 7.

Traditionally Super Bowl teams struggle the following year. If they do make the playoffs, they've been ousted in a hurry. Here's a list of how the last 10 Super teams fared the following season.
2013 Ravens 8-8 ~ Failed to make the Playoffs
2012 Giants 9-7 ~ Failed to make the Playoffs
2011 Packers 15-1 ~ One and done losing in the Divisional game in the Playoffs
2010 Saints 11-5 ~ One and done losing in the Wild Card game in the Playoffs
2009 Steelers 9-7 ~ Failed to make the Playoffs
2008 Giants 12-4 ~ One and done losing in the Divisional game in the Playoffs
2007 Colts 13-3 ~ One and done losing in the Divisional game in the Playoffs
2006 Steelers 8-8 ~ Failed to make the Playoffs
2005 Patriots 10-6 ~ Actually won the Wildcard game however lost in the Divisional game in the Playoffs
2004 Ravens 8-8 ~ Failed to make the Playoffs
Yes there were some decent regulars season for Super Bowl teams the following season however only 5 of those 10 went on to make the playoffs the following year and between them they were 1-5 (.166) in post season play. Of those teams that actually won more than 10 games the following year in the regular season, we see a common theme, elite QB play. At this point and time, I'm not ready to put Wilson in that group with Rodgers, Breese or either Manning.

Wow Vita, that is amazing!!
I too was amazed to find out that in the last 10 years the previous years champs have won just 1 game in post season play. :wtf2:

I knew it wasn't pretty just WOW, I didn't think it was that ugly.

Absolutely I agree. Come to think of it, we didn't win much the next year after our Superbowl appearance either.
