I could be wrong but I thought he was all—around inxluding a great pass catcher. CJ never was a receiving threat except on the screen. He hit the corner, was shifty and quick also a patient runner. I dont think it is a bad combo, prefer it more than others. I think Jamal Lewis or blocking FB could have been thr BEST option but if I recall there wasnt a ton for 00’s at the time

Chris Johnson went over 40 receptions 5 times in 8 seasons. Marcus Allen went over 40 receptions 6 times in 16 seasons.

maybe... but if I had a FB and ALlen, then I would be lacking speed...

once I drafted Allen I had Johnson in mind the whole time to pair him with... If I am wrong about Allen being a good power back, then maybe I would have been better off with Jerome Bettis and Bo Jackson... But thought the overallness of Allen would be better...

but I cant pander for Ritz's vote...

I do disagree with you that they are the same though... Chris Johnson was all speed, Allen maybe not as power-y as I thought but still he was 6-2 210 pounds... that is pretty big for a RB, especially in the 80s and 90s...

O.J. Simpson was the same exact same size was he a power back too? Nope, he was fast!

Yeah true he underrated but Allen did have a full 2 yds more reception while having almost twice as many receptions. That 2 yards is a huge difference. I think a power back could have been the better option for the fact Allen onlu had 3 years of 1,000+ rushing yards

Allen went in motion a lot and had quite a few receptions down field he wasn't just a screen back.

Anyhow I didn't mean this to turn into some kind of heated discussion I mean I actually did vote for Milk I just don't care much for pairing these two backs...

I never said he mainly had was involved in screens but he still was more than a threat than CJ2K. Top 3-5 rb pass catcher of all-time. That yards per reception is higher than Faulk, LT, etc. Could be the highest of all-time actually, would be interested to see

so I should have gotten Bettis and Bo Jackson... the sad thing is if I did that I could have gotten a better TE for my NFC...

he may have been fast but not the same speed... he only had 14 of his 144 regular season TDs be 20 yards or longer...

Chris Johnson had 27 of his 64 TDs be 20 yards or longer... That is a HUGE DIFFERENCE...
