I call BS on this. He is not injured, its BB way of covering up another bad signing. So instead of cutting him, he places him on IR to save face for him and Wilson.

P.s. it's not like they paid him top dollar. Signing an aging ex-all pro to a moderate contract is a gamble I'll take.
