Adrian Peterson's been talking about playing in Dallas since 2013. Will this offseason be the one in which AP lands in Big D?

The former OU star has reportedly informed the Minnesota Vikings that he'd like to play for the Cowboys. Peterson is reportedly "uneasy" about returning to the Vikings following their handling of his suspension by the NFL in 2014.

As a side note would you take Peterson or DeMarco Murray straight up? Both were great at Oklahoma but Murray is younger. That would be a tough call for me if it comes to that.

AP all day over Murray and it isn't close. Murray played his first full season of football this year since his Sr. year in high school. He is injury proned and a turnover machine. If last year wasn't his contract year, Murray misses 3-4 games w/that broken hand. You can insert just about any RB in that backfield behind the best OL in the NFL and they're going to rush for at least 1500 yds. Put AP back there and he rushes for 2000+.

Didn't he play every game his Sr year at OU? And he missed like 3 games all of his CFB career?

I really don't think he's going anywhere, once he gets back around his teammates and gets a chance to talk to the coaches he will come to his senses and wanna stay with the Vikes. I do however think he'll someday play for the Cowboys it just won't be for another 3 or 4 years.

News Oklahoma?
Is this really in any way a new development to a two year old rumor, or just a slow Oklahoma news day?
Dallas has a number for Murray and it most likely will be less than he'll get on the open market, yet we're suppose to think AP's higher salary requirements and lost assets trading with Minny could and would be absorbed?

Funny stuff

Be interesting to see how good Peterson would be after a year away from the game.

I think Murray stays with Dallas and AP with the Vikings. That said, Peterson would look good with a star on his hat....

Hopefully Peterson never plays for any football team. Then quietly fades away into the penal system.

I had forgotten how much you hate AD... I hope he runs for 400 yards on the Lions this year... :suds:

I can't say that he won't be a beast. A year off. No hits. Nothing but training and getting angry..... It's not his production I'd be worried about. I can see him running angrier than he did coming off his last injury. It's what's between his ears that should concern anyone...

Peterson would rather run behind a good OL.

Ya think? I would expect the Vikes to upgrade the line this year and he's done pretty good with the Vikes so far so...

It certainly sounds like some posturing going on with AP and his agent. What I don't like is the BS about AP being uneasy etc etc. How exactly was the organization supposed to act during the shit storm that AP himself created. How is this in any way the organizations fault. He should STFU and pray that he is lucky enough to continue his charmed life that playing and getting paid huge $$ in the NFL for the Vikings has afforded him.
