Meh. Losing sucks regardless of score. I remember a few games where all we managed was a field goal. Technically not a shutout, but it really doesn’t matter.

Meaningless list.

No team listed has won a natty in the last decade.

Yup. Nebraska kicked a meaningless FG in garbage time a few years ago to avoid the shutout.

I counted 11 times we’ve been held to single digits since our last shutout loss(we won one of them)

I count two games last year Michigan State held their opponent to single digits and still lost the game.

Is there anything more embarrassing then when coaches kick a fg late in a gm
So they don’t get shut out?

LMAO.... I like how the "WestCoastCFG" conveniently goes to number six then stops. Most polls or streaks are left to like the top 3, or top 5, or top 10. But they had to go just one more just to get at least someone on there from the west. I really wonder what the top 10 looks like. I know Oklahoma has to be somewhere right behind BSU, OU hasnt been shut out since 98 (some bad years there) and i believe their number is around 265.

It's an interesting stat, however VT should in no way be in that. You cant have a streak called "games since last shutout" and have a team that was shutout but didnt lose. BS

Is that the last team to shut Nebraska out? I was curious.

A few years ago Ohio St smacked us 62-3, he might be talking about that.

Arizona St shut Nebraska out 19-0 in 1996. Frost (first season) was sacked for 3 safeties.

The 3 points Nebraska scored against Ohio St was in the 1st Q, so not kicking a FG just to avoid the shut-out.

Oct 14, 2000 at Illinois was last time Iowa was shutout. Iowa lost 31-0. It was Ferentz' 2nd year.

It is the only time Iowa has been shutout under Ferentz. Iowa's streak sits at 135.

Last for ND was 2008. Fucking Weis.

I was at that game at the Coliseum when Notre Dame under Weis with Jimmy Clausen didn't get a first down till late in the third quarter. Not sure what the final score was for that one.

ND tacked on a meaningless FG towards the end. They got shut out against Boston College a couple weeks before that. Might as well have been shutout twice though. Schematic advantage my ass.
