Right. Like anyone (other than broadcasters) are going to call it anything but Heinz, ever.

Apparently one of the minority owners is an owner of this company, which is how they were awarded the rights.

How you go from a Pittsburgh institution to a Michigan nobody company, is baffling.

Some years ago, they changed the name of Boston Garden to TD Bank Garden. I have never heard it called anything but Boston Garden, before or since.

You're right. Heinz Field is an institution. I've hated this "naming rights" shit since it started.

Holy shit is that a bad name, I like it! :heh:

No more Mustard 'n Ketchup Field. End of an era.

I can finally end my boycott of all things Heinz.

It's now the worst in the NFL. But still better than the Chicago White Sox.

Most Met fans I know still call the Stadium "Shea" even though they tore Shea down and built an entirely new stadium.

Jerry Jones once criticized Mike Brown for not capitalizing on naming rights for Paul Brown Stadium. Brown's response was that nobody really wanted the rights at a price that would actually significantly increase revenue. The moral of the story is that you guys have only yourselves to blame.... If you weren't good for so damn long, nobody would want to name your stadium.

The funniest part is laughing at these companies bidding for naming rights and shoveling out all this money only for 99% of the fanbase to keep calling it Heinz.

Heinz knows what they are doing not renewing the rights. They did it for 20 years and it might as well be for life.

Iron City Stadium would have been 1 million times better than Acrisure…

but so long as it’s always followed by “Home of the Pittsburgh Steelers” then I dont care what they name it.

You would think they take a couple of bucks less to get a Company name that is easier to say.

I just heard a cat name an hour ago ... Coco Bubbles. That is way easier to say.

When the Pat's built the new stadium Monster. com was in the mix.
Instead of the razor it could have been Monster Stadium. I liked that at the time.

I think the Pats new stadium should be named after a Florida massage parlor. :heh:
