It's all about turnovers and 3-point shooting. You can check the box score, look at those 2 team stats, and can usually guess who won the game. This is actually the first year I don't care about the conference tourney, as long as we weren't 1-and-done.

Man, I hope they don't put Duke in the East...

that seems inevitable, unless duke loses tonight and the committee chooses to keep louisville or florida state over duke, in which case they'll get that #2 in the east.

Duke would prefer the south (Memphis), but UNC will get the #1 in the south and the committee won't give a #1 and a #2 in the same region to the same conference,

and even if that didn't happen, it's unlikely Duke will pass Kentucky on the S-Curve for the #2 in the south.

So, Duke would prefer the east (NYC) to either the Midwest (KC) or the West (San Jose), while all the other potential #2s other than Kentucky (Arizona, Oregon, UCLA, Baylor) would prefer any other site to NYC.

(Baylor I'm not sure about if it were a choice between San Jose or NYC, but they would certainly prefer KC or Memphis to either of the other two)

So if you don't want to have duke in the same region as nova, you had better be rooting hard for Notre Dame tonight.

I think by beating Louisville and UNC the past 2 days that Duke is locked in as a 2 seed.

Yep, if Duke wins the ACC Championship they should be a solid two seed. It would look like this:

One seeds= Kansas, Villanova, uNC, Gonzaga
Two seeds= Arizona, Duke, Kentucky, Oregon

Yea I don't think Duke is a 1 seed. I think are a 2 no matter outcome of tonight's game.

I think Duke will be considered for a 1 seed. I feel like the only locks for a 1 seed are Nova and Kansas. The other 1 seeds will come down to 4 teams fighting for 2 positions IMO. Those teams are UNC, Zaga, Duke, and PAC 12 Champ

As much as I love the blue devils, their season does not merit a 1.

#2 in the east (to villanova's #1 seed) seems inescapable at this point.

only potential scenario i can see where duke lands anywhere else is if the committee decides to give #1 seeds to both gonzaga and the pac 12 champion, AND moves Duke ahead of UNC on the S-Curve.

In that case Duke would be the #2 in the south (to the lower #1 seed between Gonzaga or the Pac 12 Champion) and UNC would be #2 in the east to Villanova.

but that seems like a very unlikely scenario.

no doubt they are an elite team but they went 11-7 in their conference finishing 5th. they had an amazing wkend but it cant trump an entire season

I think the committee takes into consideration injuries and coaches being out as well. I don't think they get a 1 but it wouldn't surprise me to see them on the 1 line tomorrow.
