I think it's just that they have another year with Edsall and it definitely helps to have a quarterback. Last year I think they were starting a freshman who was recruited as a linebacker.

They got a QB. They had 4 of those get hurt last year.. had a walk on freshman linebacker at QB it was so bad

Diggs also isn't a freshman anymore. He's got experience now and turning into one of the nations best playmakers.

Recruiting. Ever since Locksley returned to MD, recruiting has been much better. The Fridge wasn't much of a recruiter, IMO and there wasn't much talent here when Edsall took over. Edsall has quickly built strong relationships with the local high school coaches. The local kids are starting to buy into the Terps program where it used to be an afterthought.
