That very well could be the best shot at handing UK a loss before the Tourney begins. UK gets Texas and UNC at home, UCLA on a neutral court and the SEC looks bad (again) outside of Arkansas, whom UK gets at Rupp, and maybe Ole Miss. We'll see what Florida looks like in a month but I wouldn't be surprised if UK wins both contests by 20+ pts.

was 35 years ago, in the Mideast Regional of the 1979 Dance - where #1 seed ND (full of its usual pomp and arrogance) got absolutely rat-stomped by #2 seed MSU 80-68. Whatever trepidation there was vanished within 3 seconds after the opening tip - to MSU's SG Mike Brkovich, who took it in for a killer slam dunk (one of those unforgettable sports moments.)
ND is favored by 2.5 tonight. If Dawson plays, State wins...if Dawson schlumps along like he is (now) well known for, ND gets its long delayed revenge. I'm not very confident. ah well.
