it really does ..... but looking at the bigger picture, the sox weren't expecting to do much this year. can only hope this injury isn't an indication that he's fragile and he comes back strong next year. still, it's a shame to waste a year of development.

Would have been nice to go into next season with confidence in all three OF positions.

It does shake the confidence some but as long as he's not 'fragile' he should be ok, he's still young, younger players can bounce back from stuff (look at Buster Posey for example).
