Pass-rusher -- Aaron Lynch, San Francisco 49ers
All the talk around San Francisco was about the players the 49ers lost and what they no longer had. With Aldon Smith sent packing, they looked bereft of any pass-rush presence. They're certainly not overburdened with pass-rushers, but in Lynch they have one guy who is getting consistent pressure.
Lynch has just three sacks this season but has also tallied six knockdowns and 19 additional hurries for a total of 28 pressures, just four short of the league lead across all positions. That figure is also 14 more than any other 49ers defender and seven more than Smith has managed in Oakland.

from the the amount i watched Harold, he doesn't have enough strength. OT's easily push him wide.

Yes we should build around him in the pass rushing department. Lynch will be good for us. We can still use a nice DE pass rusher or MLB that can get to the QB.

Not to sound like a dick but that's exactly what we have. Armstead and Bowman are on the roster for a reason.

I don't see it. Bowman lost a step an Armstead doesn't play enough. I do think Armstead will be a factor next year and can be that pass rusher. I agree with you on that. Bowman no. I want J. Smith from ND. add his speed and now we are talking.

Harold just needs to hit the weight room and drop a few PEDs and he could still be a force. He should hook up with Romanowski.

Our DB's are not bad it's just no one else can cover. Slot, TE, and backs just kill us because our LB's can't cover.

We have no speed at LBs and it's hard for DBs to cover with an inconsistent pass rush.

Brock is bad. Wilhoite sucks. I don't get it we trade for a starting MLB and he does play. Whats the point of that trade. Bowman is a statue out there. This D is a Joke. Mangini is the worst DC I ever saw. He puts this D is bad situations all the time. We cant tackle. How do you take a Top 10 the last 3-4 years and make it 31st in the league. Its the DC. I don't want to hear about the people that left. Most didn't play last year. Its all about scheme and Mangini has NONE.

Just look at what Fangino is doing with the bears. Top 5 D.

This 49ers team would be 3-4 or 4-3 with a good D even with this up and down Offense.

On defense, can't think of anyone. He still struggles a bit on pass protection but he has time to get things right. Even Aldon struggled early on and the 49ers wouldn't play him with the base defense.

Lynch can be the Defensive player we can build around. This guy is going to be good. he might not be a super pass rusher but he will get his. We just need to get him some help now.
