Buckeyes' Amir Riep, Jahsen Wint charged with r*pe, kidnapping
Two current Ohio State football players are in trouble on Tuesday night. Senior cornerback Amir Riep and redshirt senior defensive back Jahsen Wint were charged with r*pe and kidnapping by the Franklin County Municipal Court. Warrants were issued for both players' arrest with potential charges of first-degree felonies. The news was first reported by Dan Hope of Eleven Warriors.
Both Riep and Wint have been suspended from all football activities following the charges.
An Ohio State spokesperson gave the following statement: "We are aware that two of our students have been arrested and criminally charged. They have been suspended from all activities involving the football program. We will share more information when available."
According to information obtained by Eleven Warriors, Riep and Wint “forced vaginal intercourse with another ... by purposely compelling said victim to submit by force." This occurred at approximately 9:45 p.m. on Tuesday, Feb. 4. According to the complaint, Riep “held the victim in place, restraining the liberty of another." The victim was pushed down by the neck by Riep with his hands and body "with the purpose to engage in sexual activity with and against the will of said victim.”
The complaint states Wint held the victim by the face and prevented the victim "from getting away or getting his penis out of her mouth, with the purpose to engage in sexual activity with and against the will of said victim.”
According to the complaint, the victim then had consensual sex with Riep before stopping and moving away from him and telling him she "did not want to continue. Wint then came into the room and Riep asked him to join before forcing the victim to have non-consensual sex. With Riep holding the victim down, Wint forced oral sex on the victim, according to the summary of facts.

The affidavit states that Riep filmed the victim and told her to give her name as well as say the incident was consensual. He then drove her back to where she lived.
Riep was expected to be a part of Ohio State's cornerback rotation in 2020 after featuring as a backup last year. Wint is likely a backup yet again at the Bullet position but could compete for the open safety role.
This is a developing story and Bucknuts will provide more information as it becomes available.
