The asking price will be at least a 2nd line forward, a top 3 d-man, top prospect and/or 1st round pick.
I would give them the 1st round pick and then forfeit it hoping nobody notices
Bobby is a great player and still young and developing. However, I don't think there's a deal that can be made that would leave the Devils immediately being better. You would have to give up Henrique or Clarkson and probably Merrill. Plus a first. That's a lot.
You could wait until next season and back the bank truck up for a guy like Corey Perry.
As Cup mentioned though, you have to figure the Nash deal can be used against them. Obviously Howson sucks, but that has to be the benchmark for trades from here on out.
i will give up clarkson jj and a 1st....give a different d man then merrill...i dont even think erixon was the rangers best prospect. doubt the devils would have to give their best prospect up

SJ that is spot on. A reason that I feel we are in financal trouble. Took 9 years to get back to the finals after losing core players. I dont think this franchise can go another 9 years of 1st round kos.
I know its not easy to reach them but I think fans esp fringe fans will stay if the team is exciting to watch. Not sure now but the devils use to have the 3rd most expensive game experience for a fam of 4
Would anyone trade Larsson straight up for Bobby Ryan?
