Why are we wasting time with Noonan. How many times have we been here with him? Something about the definition of insanity.

Put Duffy at short. Or Panik at short and Duffy at second.

But who would we get to play third? Hmmm, let me think...

Noonan at SS is, at best, a bit of a tryout for a util job next year. Most likely, though, it is just that Craw needs to rest his leg and side, and they need a body to stand between Duffy and Panik.

I would actually prefer to have EA there. I don't like him, but I believe there is more potential there. I think he has a better chance of getting a util spot next year than Noonan, so let's get him the reps. Ultimately, though, it really doesn't matter.

Its too bad Blake Miller was injured for much of the year at Richmond. It would have been interesting to see how he would have done. Now he has to contend with Austin Slater.

your erstwhile 3Bman has a sore ankle...the same ankle that was surgically repaired. Boch wants to rest him.

Whatever merit the idea of moving Posey to third had was completely washed away by the emergence of Duffy. Seriously, is that still your preference? Then what, trade Duffy? Not saying that's necessarily bad, we could get a nice pitcher for a package with Duffy in the center of it.

Or maybe you're thinking a 4 man rotation of Posey, Belt, Susac, and Duffy at 3rd, 1st, and C, with guys getting days off once in a while (Duffy really coulda used one or two)? Seems convoluted.

As always, the guys in charge see everything we do and then 100x more, they will figure something out.

Putting your 2Bman recovering from a bad back at the most physically demanding position is probably not the optimal lineup.....

Why did Heston bunt with 2-strikes, 1-out and the runner already advanced?

Boch did not look happy.

Heston has really hit the rookie wall here at the end of the season. The guy was never a touted prospect and maybe we're seeing why. He's got talent, but maybe he's the 6th rotation guy next year...

4 2/3 inning for a guy who was a real innings eater earlier in the season. Really is sad to see him hit the wall the way he has.

Can't go into next year with him having a locked rotation spot if he can't help in the post season.

We're going after 2 starters this offseason, no doubt. Wonder if we'll end up seeing another starter this season, just to take inventory. Blackburn should be talked about a lot this offseason as well.

Blackburn is similar to Heston in many ways in his repertoire, but Clayton has better command and maybe an extra tick in the fastball. I agree that Heston should not be given the job out of Spring Training, and Blackburn should be given a shot. Competition is better in this scenario.

Blackburn has also been viewed as a prospect pretty much from day 1. And this season, he has gotten better as the season progressed, with his last 2-3 weeks being the best of his season.
