The team was facing a struggling pitcher. Why should we expect anything different? They can only muster enough energy to chase an ace once a week. Nothing left to tee off on a mediocre pitcher a mile above sea level.

They won't make the playoffs at this rate, so no need to worry about that. The veterans are looking beaten up and tired, and there doesn't seem to be anyone available to inject any energy into the team. They still barely lead the WC race, but it's slipping away. Today's game was a flat-out embarrassment.
