Exactly. And he's likely worth a little more than 2 WAR. Even at $8M/WAR, hes a $20M player.

The 8M/WAR was a few years ago. I upped the value a bit to ATTEMPT to compensate.

And as a VERY IMPORTANT reminder, the 8M per value ONLY. Applies to 2+WAR players. That DOES NOT translate downwards (a 1WAR player is NOT worth 4M)

He's had a 2.5 WAR season, which is completely acceptable for a #3 OF. 18 bombs, 113 OPS+.

I mean, what were your expections?

a 3.0 WAR player on pace to hit 30 HR and 100 RBI...with a 117 OPS+....nearly an all star.

I never expected that from Yaz

Conforto doesn’t have the same D that Yaz provides.

Yaz won't win the GG, but he is of that quality.

No question Yaz is a great defensive player and you want that from your right fielder in Oracle park
more offensive production on a consistent basis would be nice too see though

Yaz is who he is. A nice #2/#3 OF who can play all 3 positions at a ++ level and could hit #6 on a stacked team.

He isn’t a HOFer, but he is a solid player.

His numbers are surprisingly good for his career, decent OPS+. Cal said it well above. Not every player can be a star
