No idea why this lineup. After all, they must be exhausted after the one run they scored last night. Why no Shaw?

Go Giants. Beat the Minnows.

Anderson leaving NONE of the mound free of fecal matter.

AWFUL.

I do not approve.

Get 'em tomorrow.

Giants are 21-48 with two walks or less

Giants are 50-30 with three walks or more

Giants are 17-95 with RISP in September (.179) and yet only 13 of those 17 hits produced runs (.137) with 95 LOB in 14 games.

They've scored 37 runs in September (2.64/game) and been shut out three times already.

They've given up 63 runs (4.5/game).

That's not terrific pitching, but in this juiced ball era, it ain't terrible. The offense, though. Ugh.

I guess they are trying for better draft position. :noidea:

I was expecting some call ups with the RiverCats season finally over. However, Peralta was not one of them. As tzill points out on the Current Roster thread, Gerber and Adames came up. Peralta has been active since the 8th. Pinto, Adon and Avelino are the three left on the 40 man not active.

Avelino was the hitting star for the Rivercats during the playoffs.

I don't really understand why he didn't get called up yesterday. Seemed like an easy choice. And its not like they have a bunch of infielders on the roster, only 6 with Adames (unlike the 8, 7 if you don't count Dickerson, outfielders).
