I agree, they are downright terrible. I love Baggs write up on them this morning.

Although I think the Pads have it today a little better than the Giants did yesterday. In my humble opinion, I'd rather face a low strike caller than a outside strike caller. At least the low pitch can be right down the middle.

Absolutely, I've always believed the increase in offense circa 1998-2004 had more to do with tightening up of the zone following Eric Gregg's embarrassment in the WS.
