Just when we thought they had turned the corner,

Seems like there have been a few times these past two months we though they've turned the corner, only to disappoint us again. I guess the 3 trophies tell us that such foolishness can be rewarded, but how many times are they going to keep turning it around?

Who-the-fuck is PAUL Clemens? Dude had a career ERA of 5.49 and an ERA of 5.22 this year. Dude has not had 5 innings of shutout ball since 2013.

How is that even possible?

Just read, this morning, that Clemens had the flu and was vomiting between innings. He wasn't even 100%!!!!!

"Padres starter Paul Clemens (3-5) fought through flu symptoms earlier in the week and vomited between innings but still pitched five gritty innings to end San Francisco's three-game winning streak. The right-hander allowed three hits, walked one and struck out two."

Was looking for at least a 4-3 homestand, but that's going to be difficult now. Need to win the next two vs. SD and then get a split vs. STL. Tired of the damn sub-.500 homestands.

And I am tired of losing the first game in a series. For a team with playoff aspirations, that is just not kosher.
