I'm not even going to post the lineup at this point.

Since June 12 we are 19-33 (with a loss tonight)

A 19-33 team since June who will have holes at 2B, 3B, LF, back end of rotation and real questions at SS

White Sox lineup

DeAnza LF
Beckham 2B
Abreu 1B
Dunn RF
Ramirez SS
Gillaspie 3B
Flowers C
Danks CF
Sale SP

Giants lineup

Pagan CF
Pence RF
Posey C
Sandoval 3B
Morse LF
Duvall 1B
Panik 2B
Crawford SS
Vogelsong P

Terrible start for the lads. .200 hitting Dunn hits a two run jack that still hasn't landed. Pence with a one out triple, and thrown out at home. And the Dogs have won.

Six games back. And getting worse.

:gaah:

Hey fellas. You used to win opening games in series. You used to win at home. You used to be able to score more than twice a week.

Saw the replay. Terrible decision by Pence to come home. Bad AB by Posey, grounding to short. Our multi-million dollar star better start driving in runs. 3 RBI's in the last 14 games is not going to get it done.

Welp. Might as well see who is going to be a FA at each position this offseason

2011

2013

2014

Offensive meltdowns. More than slumps, unless you call a three month trend a slump.

Putrid baseball. Fall behind early. Give up. Lose. Lose ground to the Dogs and the WC. Can't get on base. Once we are on base, we cannot drive in any runs. No plate patience. blahblahblah

SP: So we need a fifth starter and maybe another 6th SP depending on Cain's health.

I suppose we just bring back Vogelsong on a short deal. Let Peavy walk.

2B:
Emilio Bonifacio, Rickie Weeks. Asdrubal Cabrera
-These are the top names. Goodness.

3B: Sandoval and his agent will want a lot of money. 100M and he will be the top hitter on the market (Cruz has more power but doesn't offer the defense). So he could likely get 100M. Maybe we give him the QO and see what happens.

Other options: Headley, Callaspo, Aramis,

LF: (If we let Morse go, which at this point we should)
-Melky, Denorfia, Jonny Gomes, Ryan Ludwick, Josh Willingham, Alex Rios, Aoki

CF (Pagan will be injured next year)

-Colby Rasmus, Chris Young, Grady Sizemore, Rusney Castillo, Chris Young

We let him go because his defense was crap, his power was crap, his bat was crap and there was an Asian bear in his way.

Soptic was what we were able to get for him in place of just cutting him.

Be critical. Be negative. But please don't rewrite history.

He was out of options, correct?

I was fine with the trade at the time. CG showed nothing. Change of scenery has clearly been good fro him

Soptic?

He of the 1-1 BB/K ratio?

He of the 1 walk per inning pitched?

:L

So Gonor's minor league numbers weren't stellar, still high .280's with some walks. His 20 AB's in SF amounted to nothing. Goes to the Pale Hose and all of a sudden learns to hit major league pitching? Hmmmmm.

I was not in favor of keeping him at the time. This is not buyers (or sellers) remorse. Just commenting that his numbers would lead the current set of Giant hackers in average and OBP. I'd rather have Panda.

Hey, I didn't know Kershaw pitched for the White Sox as well! Sale is really good, and our hitters are craptastic.

Vogey made one bad pitch. That's all it seems to take these days.

From Brown at the Merc:

– Tonight’s Giants starter, Ryan Vogelsong, is 2-0 with a 1.20 ERA (2 ER, 15.0 IP) over his past two outings. He’s allowed only one home run in 12 starts at AT&T Park this season.

– The Giants are just 7-21 over their past 28 home games.

Dang, that 1st one is worthy of Colin's best efforts, yeah?
