Oxy didn't even run out his Huffer to 1st. He had the leadoff double, and three straight weak Huffers to 1st.

I know I shouldn't dog the guy, but we got him to hit and drive in runs, and so far, the only runs he has driven in are in blowouts when we don't need the extra runs. When we are behind, the guy has disappeared.

Let's hope not, but previous mid-season pickups have not fared well at all. CarBelt was miserable until the Giants were out of the race last year, and then he did well. At least it felt that way.

I'd just as soon a guy hit 5 meaningful home runs than 20 meaningless home runs.
