Don't be dumb, look at his numbers and track record. If we brought him to the Giants with his history, today, as a 4th starter on a playoff team, you'd applaud it.

No-no'd through 7... then Longo proves us all wrong... and Shark had a good outing..7-3 in our last 10 with a 2 game streak to start the break.

Don't look now but we're going to win the 2019 WS!
15-10 in last 25.

They have definitely righted the ship.

Now they have to win at home like a playoff contender has to.

Man, like @tzill I would love for you to shove it in my face and the Giants make a miracle run. But here's what I'm saying about number of teams in front. Let's say we start playing great ball, at a .650 pace or so. We watch the standings and see oh good the Brewers lost today, that helps! But then we see they lost to the Rockies. Oh look the Phillies lost! Oh, to the Cardinals.

And those teams are going to be making moves too. It's just so very unlikely, that unless we go a ridiculous 12-2 or something right after the break, they are going to have to sell.

But to be fair, it is more fun this way and they are at least watchable and making it interesting. And as I've said before the possibility that one or two of the new kids like Yaz, Slater, Solano, Austin, etc. will actually turn into legit hitters is pretty fun too. Maybe Beede emerges too, we'll see.

We will get a real good idea right after the break. Three games at Milwaukee, then four at Coors.
