FWIW, I've read in more than one place that it is a buyer's market for pitchers. If we want him, we can probably get him. I'm seeing more buzz around Beede than I'm seeing around any other pitching prospect.

Are you hearing that buzz here, though?

I think he will be good, and I do not want to lose him, but realistically, I am not expecting a CY type pitcher. I am expecting something similar to Cain...

Z would fit in so well on is Giants team. Ain't gunna happen, though. He is currently with the As, and we don't have a spot for him currently.

The MLBtv feed is always a couple pitches back. I did notice that the Fox feed was WAY ahead of the MLBtv Giants feed, though.

I prefer Kruk and Kuip, though, so I am ok with the delay...

MLB.tv is just sad at times with the feed delay. Had an issue where if I went from one game to two (second game in top corner) the original feed would jump forward a few pitches.

Price will be close to a 200M pitcher, though. Do the Giants really want to do that, when they will have to/want to pay Bum in a couple years and still have Cain on the books for a decent sized fortune? Price will not a top-flight pitcher for much longer.

Beede, while maybe not ready for opening day 2016, should be ready by mid season or so.

I would love to have two Aces going into the playoffs this year. With our offense, that would be brutal for any team to have to face. But this team is still built for the long haul, and Beede is going to be a part of that.

All true, and it makes for an interesting discussion. Plus, Price is entering the prime of his career - he will be 30 in a month. Beltran was never going to be anything more than a rental, and on the verge of DH-city with his injuries and age.

IMHO, it's a closer call than one might think. A lot of aspects of this make sense. It would be better if Price was a RHP.

There are constant stutters in the feed, so I try to get it up to "live" after each 1/2 inning.

Giants prospect Tyler Beede‘s name is in high demand in trade talks, manager Bruce Bochy tells Peter Gammons (Twitter link). Per Bochy, Beede’s name is the first one mentioned by opposing clubs in the majority of the Giants’ trade talks. San Francisco selected Beede with the No. 14 pick in the 2014 draft, and he has a 2.91 ERA with 6.0 K/9 and 2.4 BB/9 in 89 2/3 innings between High-A and Double-A in his first full pro season.​

He hasn't gone 6 in the last three starts, and it is looking questionable at this point.
