I actually think the Giants have been very lucky to do so well with the injuries and it's now finally catching up to them.

I was starting to feel that way after Holt's home run, more so after Crawford's double play. Yeah, the Red Sox actually know what to do with men on base.

Sox are hitting .285 with RISP on the season (2nd in AL). Giants are hitting .259 (7th in NL)

The team is just not playing well. There really isnt any other way to state it.

A good old fashioned mid summer slump. I was wondering when it would show up.

When games start like this, I watch something recorded on my DVR over the top of the game and check back only occasionally because it usually ends badly, but on the rare occasion where thing turn out OK I can jump back and watch the good things.

My thing is to only look at the box score after the game if we win. If we lose I don't wanna.

Couldn't agree more. Slumps suck. As the wise one Nuke Laloosh says, "I LOOOOVE winning, you know? It's like better than losing!"
