A lot of "P"'s in that lineup. 2-1 Giants.
Sox are hitting .285 with RISP on the season (2nd in AL). Giants are hitting .259 (7th in NL)I was starting to feel that way after Holt's home run, more so after Crawford's double play. Yeah, the Red Sox actually know what to do with men on base.
I actually think the Giants have been very lucky to do so well with the injuries and it's now finally catching up to them.
No doubt. But the break absolutely killed their momentum.I actually think the Giants have been very lucky to do so well with the injuries and it's now finally catching up to them.
The team is just not playing well. There really isnt any other way to state it.
When games start like this, I watch something recorded on my DVR over the top of the game and check back only occasionally because it usually ends badly, but on the rare occasion where thing turn out OK I can jump back and watch the good things.
The teams slumps in the last couple years have lasted MONTHS (literally). Let's hope this isnt one of THOSE slumps...A good old fashioned mid summer slump. I was wondering when it would show up.
It stinks when this week is the first time, all year, I've gotten a chance to WATCH the Giants.PRECISELY correct. They are still on pace to win 98 if they lose today, let's keep it in perspective,

First couple of innings, Porcello looked like he would be lucky to last 5. That Parker baserunning gaffe really seemed to work out in his favor (followed by that Holt home run). Then suddenly, no Giant baserunners from the 3rd to the 8th innings. This team is not fun to watch right (yes, I understand, perspective. Still not fun).
