I actually think the Giants have been very lucky to do so well with the injuries and it's now finally catching up to them.

A lot of "P"'s in that lineup. 2-1 Giants.

Yeah but missing a couple good ones (Pence and Panik)

I was starting to feel that way after Holt's home run, more so after Crawford's double play. Yeah, the Red Sox actually know what to do with men on base.
Sox are hitting .285 with RISP on the season (2nd in AL). Giants are hitting .259 (7th in NL)

PRECISELY correct. They are still on pace to win 98 if they lose today, let's keep it in perspective,

The team is just not playing well. There really isnt any other way to state it.

A good old fashioned mid summer slump. I was wondering when it would show up.

When games start like this, I watch something recorded on my DVR over the top of the game and check back only occasionally because it usually ends badly, but on the rare occasion where thing turn out OK I can jump back and watch the good things.

My thing is to only look at the box score after the game if we win. If we lose I don't wanna.

The teams slumps in the last couple years have lasted MONTHS (literally). Let's hope this isnt one of THOSE slumps...

The ugly auto-correct is showing itself, and a 2-6 road trip would look good at this point.

L.A. winning 5-0, so good chance the lead will be down to 4.5. Just get out of there without having anyone get hurt.

One thing went the Giants' way. That pitch to Ortiz should have been ball four. Instead, its called a strike and Ortiz grounds out weakly on the next pitch.

Good news, Lopez didn't walk the first batter he faced and kept the pitch count down to him. Bad news, he gave up a base hit.

Reason #4 why it will be good to have Joe Panik back.'

It looked like Green wanted to flip it back to Crawford, like he fielded the hit.

First couple of innings, Porcello looked like he would be lucky to last 5. That Parker baserunning gaffe really seemed to work out in his favor (followed by that Holt home run). Then suddenly, no Giant baserunners from the 3rd to the 8th innings. This team is not fun to watch right (yes, I understand, perspective. Still not fun).

Couldn't agree more. Slumps suck. As the wise one Nuke Laloosh says, "I LOOOOVE winning, you know? It's like better than losing!"
