it's decidedly uncomfortable to watch ANY of the hitters on this team outside of cano, seager, and jones.

Jones scares me as much as any. He takes pitches down the middle and swings at balls in the dirt yet is still in the .280's. Amazing.

Agree but difference is those guys come into play 4 times a game while the pitcher is involved in 30+ plays. None are great scenarios.

While that's true, having 6 1/2 bad hitters (on the fence about Jones) means that the opposing pitcher starts with 22+ easier plays. It'd be nice to bring that number down to 18+.

Totally agree with that. Give me Zobrist, Byrd, and another hitter of the like and it increases your odds immensely.

Anyhoo, would be nice to run Skaggs out and have it be bullpen vs bullpen. Despite the game a couple nights ago, I still like our chances.
