One minor thing: anyone worried about Belt's slump?

A little, he looks discouraged, I think he thought he'd arrived with his little hot streak and then he's been jerked in and out the last couple weeks. Perhaps this unfortunate injury to Hector will benefit him in that he'll get consistent playing time over the next week. Hopefully that will reignite him.

He should learn though how to cope with starting 3 out of 5 though, unless Hector is really hurt bad he is going to get playing time at Belts expense.

Go Philth! Beat LA!

Every time I see/hear "Beat LA!" I think of the time my brother and I were walking down the ramps shoulder to shoulder with hundreds of others at Pacbell after Marvin had just hit a walkoff hr to beat the doggies. Someone started the Beat LA! chant and soon everyone was screaming it. It was bouncing off the walls and ceiling and was almost deafening. A glorious moment for sure, that still puts a smile on my face and a chill up my spine!

A little bit, especially with Chez3 on the DL and Whitey up. Belt is going to be getting a ton of ABs over the next two weeks. Which is probably good as we approach the trade deadline.

Belt has been up-and-down all year. He had a monster June (when he was starting most games) : .296/.400/.563/.963. But he's been ice-cold so far in July : .179/.273/.214/.487. I hope that increased playing time will allow him to turn it around.
