Moronta, Smith, Watson all giving up runs after being so good. These guys can really use a break

Suarez isn't why the #weaklink exists
He's a pitcher, he's not expected to produce runs
#weaklink strikes again, scoring 2 runs

What's the hitters excuse? We are what we are, a .500 team. I say we should sell Cutch and shut down Samardjiza, see if the young guys help next year

And Suarez was bad today.

But he had a streak of 4 consecutive games going at least 5.2 IP with 1 or fewer ER.

Suarez is not the problem with this team.

No Ace-level pitcher (pitching like an Ace-level pitcher) is a problem.
No clutch hitting is a problem.
Minimal baserunning skills is a problem.
No team power is a problem.
Key injuries are a problem.

The Giants invested a lot in this bullpen.... but it is interesting wondering what they could get if they started selling some of them off, particularly the lefties Watson and Smith.

It would be a tough pill to swallow, but I think those two could fetch the best prospects out of anyone (except Bum). Lefty relievers are so valuable at the deadline.

Keep one, sell the other? Sell Watson.

Based on my analysis yesterday, I think they have extending Bum as their “Plan B” this off season. They ain’t trading him.

And they love them their lefty relievers. They won’t deal either of them. Just won’t happen. If they have any ideas about competing next season, they will neeed them anyway.

Yeah I don't see it at all, just saying that they are the best options on a trade market that doesn't involve trading the (arguable) face of the franchise away.

Hypothetically if this wasn't the Giants, trading away Bum, Watson and Smith would net like 6 top-100 prospects at least.

As Cal said, it ain't happening for either. How hard they tired to get their lefty bullpen situation figured out after Lopez and Affeldt fell from grace, they don't want to go right back to it.

I just wanted to point out how valuable they are on the market.

I’m sure Okert and Osich are available.....

Well sure, my comment was about the right thing for the team to do not the easiest thing for the team to sell.
