Yep, first one put him on his butt.

And Posey was hit earlier in the game, as I recall.

I agree: Arroyo wasn't trying to hit him. But come on, you can't throw pitches near a players face in multiple at bats and not expect some kind of retaliation. Kind of convenient for the Reds he did this during the last game of the series.

Those numbers seem to speak for themselves if you ask me. But if you platoon do you just slide Nate in at leadoff? Or do you move Pagan in yadda yadda?

It messes with the lineup too much IMO to move guys up and down the lineup, so I'd go with just inserting Nate at the top, but I am not sure if he'd be comfortable there.

I think Belt should be tried at lead-off. He has OK speed, is an above average base runner, has Grace-like OBP, and, most importantly, Oxy does not like leading off.
