I believe Young is on a leave of absence from the team. I had read somewhere that he is recovering from knee surgery.

This is from an article last week in the Merc.

The Giants brought Kline up from Triple-A Sacramento two weeks ago after pitching coach Curt Young underwent emergency surgery on an infected knee. Kline is working as the bullpen coach while Matt Herges, the Giants’ regular bullpen coach, has filled in for Young as the team’s pitching coach.

I was not high on Dickerson's being called up. But the dude has 9 RBI in the last 1.5 games! He's halfway to Posey's RBI total! Dude is flat out raking right now.

How are they scoring that 4th run earned? If Crawford makes that throw, there's two outs and runner on 3rd and the next batter flies out. It has to be counted as unearned.
