Went to game Sat night. I thought Kontos and Pettit looked good. Machi came in late innings. All I could say about Machi is he takes his sweet time on the mound. If he had to pitch a whole 9 innings I would probably still be at the park, lol.

Vogey still had a 5 PQS in this game, despite giving up 4 runs (3 earned) and taking the loss. While I acknowledge that he was a victim of clusterluck in this game, I have a hard time viewing this start as dominant. This is an example of why PQS is not a perfect stat.
Using my point system, the top 3 Giants in this game were Aoki (6), Belt (4) and Pence (4).

No stat is perfect, especially when taken in isolation. Vogey was pretty good in this game, I'd say he was clustered more than anything else. Again, you want to look at DOM % and DIS %, one score of 5 (or zero) won't affect things that much once we get into the second half.
