The orange and black attempt to get INTO the black for the third time in five games as they host the visiting Senators. The Flyers have gone back and forth over there last ten, showing signs of promise and then cruelly taking them away. Worse yet, they have a game scheduled for NOON, which means I have to choose between cartoons or hockey (CHOOSE WISELY, LIL' BIZ). The Senators can tie Montreal for the best record in the East with a win; the Flyers would jump Winnipeg and move into eighth.

Flyers injuries: Meszaros (upper body), Read (ribs), Sestito (waiver wire to Canucks). We start Bryz in goal because there can't be a goalie controversy if nobody knows we have any other goalies.

Ottawa injuries: Everyone who has ever played hockey in Ottawa is injured, most notably Karlsson, Spezza, Anderson, and Michalek. The Senators start a guy named Bishop because there is no separation of church and state in Ottawa, I guess.

Flyers! I WOKE UP BEFORE THE AFTERNOON FOR THIS. DO NOT DISAPPOINT ME. Also your next three games are @Rangers, vs. Pitt, @ Boston, so, you know, it's not gonna get any easier.

Bryzgalov is keeping us in this game. The Sens have at least four point blank or breakaway chances, and he's shut them down. Simmonds is the only other Flyer playing notably well.

After two periods, I find it amusing that the only shot Bryz has allowed was an unscreened shot from the point, as opposed to giving one up on one of the many A++ chances the Sens have had.
