What you don’t see here is the direction that these players are, or are not going. Posey for example is heading in the right direction, up.Giants' top 5 hitters:
Stephen Vogt - .600/.667/1.400 (5 ABs)
Brandon Belt - .214/.321/.438 (112 ABs)
Tyler Austin - .310/.412/.345 (29 ABs)
Pablo Sandoval - .250/.250/.500 (56 ABs)
Buster Posey - .257/.315/.426 (101 ABs)
(And, if you exclude Vogt's 3 games - Steven Duggar - .270/.308/.393 (122 ABs))

Yes we know, you've mentioned that once or twiceA moundshit is a moundshit no matter who wins.
That is true. But what is troubling is that Belt still sits at the top, despite his horrible slump of late. Austin and Sandoval have also been slumping. Posey and Duggar have been trending up (after Duggar slumped badly earlier in the season). What you don’t see here is the direction that these players are, or are not going. Posey for example is heading in the right direction, up.
