Tonight it was Tim Lincecum's turn to take the ball and do his thing on the mound. Lincecum took a major step forward moving the ball around and for the most part down in the zone. Lincecum's line was 6 IP 1 ER 6 H 3 BB and 4 SO. He seemed to have his swagger back snapping his back to the hitter after striking him out. Don't ever have doubt about the Peoples Champ.
Pagan and Morse had solo shots that staked Lincecum to the lead and eventually the win but it was Brandon Crawford who would shine defensively at shortstop. Crawford made some fantastic plays including a beauty in the 9th inning that would of changed the score. You could say that Crawford earned a save along side of Romo who made it interesting but after a long battle with Upton in the 9th he froze him with a fastball on the inside corner to end it.
A well played great team win by the Giants who start out winners in game one of the series. Game two Saturday with the General striding to the hill to take on the Braves.
Tonight though you had to tip you're hat to Lincecum who had a major break through in his approach to pitching. He made me smile and pump my fist in the air. After all he is the Peoples Champ and tonight he was a winner once again.
