1. Angel Pagan (S) CF
2. Hunter Pence (R) RF
3. Buster Posey (R) C
4. Pablo Sandoval (S) 3B
5. Michael Morse (R) 1B
6. Tyler Colvin (L) LF
7. Brandon Crawford (L) SS
8. Brandon Hicks (R) 2B
9. Matt Cain (R) P

Colvin moves up in the order.

No Giant with a ton of ABs vs. Eovaldi, but as a team there is complete ownage (.383) and Panda is 5-5 against him.

Jones and McGehee with ownage on Horse.

Fish those fishing fishes....6-2 good guys. Pandamonium.

Oh man, can you imagine if Colvin returns to 2012 form (.858 OPS, 27 2B, 10 3B, 18 HR's)? He can play all three OF spots, and even some 1B.

Possible scrap heap signing of the decade for us.

So glad to see Blanco sitting after a three hit/three steal game. Can't let him get hot, you know.

:ipw: Cain on the mound against a young but up and coming Marlins team. Cain in his second start after cutting his hand making a sandwich. Hopefully he is healed up and ready to go. Stay away from Stanton as much as possible.

Picks to click... Posey and Sandoval

Go Giants !!

Blanco is a BU.

You are not going to sit Pagan, who has been, arguably, the team MVP thus far.

You are not going to sit Pence, who has been very hot the last week or so.

Colvins ceiling is a mile higher than Blanco's, and he has been swinging the bat VERY well as well.

Dude, chill! Bochy has in the past made a great emphasis on playing the hot hand. Blanco's hand is hot at the moment. I have been quite critical of Blanco so far, yesterday he seemed to be breaking out of it. Just curious in the short run why to sit him.

Agreed that Calvin's upside is higher.

And when did Matt Cain change his name to Matt Blyleven? Why all these freaking homers? :L

But wtf is up with Cainer?

Sure, he settled down and ended up putting in an effective outing, but he seems to be a legit 4.00 ERA pitcher nowadays. That is not 20M.

It's all good. Didn't expect Cain to last very long in this game, with his start. But going 7.2 is a huge bonus, and he kept the Fish at four runs.

Giants keep it Roll N' and WIN 6-4

The crowd had to be a little uneasy at first but the Giants changed the tune real fast and they keep it roll n' along with a 6-4 win over Miami tonight as the fans danced on their seats.

The Giants trailed 4-1 in the 3rd when Morse beat the horsehide raw to right field for a 2 run HR to make it 4-3. Posey then doubled in the 5th inning scoring Pagan and Pence. Morse followed with a single to center scoring Posey and the Giants pitching held .

Cain pitched 7 2/3 giving up 4 ER on 6 hits , striking out 7 hitters and got his first win of the year now 1-3. Romo got his 14 save of the year with a shutdown 9th. Another team win up and down the line up. Looks like Petit will get the start Friday as the Giants are now 27-15 on the year.

Another big win by the team that has fun and plays solid ball together. Elwood and Jake celebrate. WOOO HOOO !

Go Giants !!

I'll give Cain a few more starts before I judge him. He was hot in the second half last year and has had some very good starts this year before the injury. Seems like the finger is still giving him a little trouble.

The offense is really clicking though, and the bullpen is just rolling right now.

Unfortunate news about Huddy, sounds like it isn't serious. They just want to be extra, extra careful with our hottest pitcher.

Keep in mind he was playing for the Rox that year. He had 226 PA, both home and away.

That being said, the FO has come up with some real gems in the recent past, and Colvin is having a GREAT start. I hope he is a good clubhouse guy too.

There you go again, spouting facts that ruin a good story.

He doesn't seem to mind hitting in ATT so far, though. 12 AB, 6 H, 3 2B, 1 3B, 1 HR, 1.667 OPS. Bondsian numbers, dare I say.

I know, I know, SSS. But it's nice to see someone who got called up get off to a fast start FOR ONCE. We know he can hit in The Show. Nice to see him prove it.

Plus, it's looking contagious. Beast is Beasting, Herk is working, Posey's posing, and even Panda is making it pandemic.

This team feels like a playoff team for sure, but without our usual stellar starting pitching, which does not bode well for how we do in the playoffs...

Plenty of time for things to get right of course, and heck just by avoiding TJ surgeries we might end up with better pitching than other teams. But you need 3 great to good starters to win it all, and they don't really have that as of right now. Lots of season yet to come, Cain and Bum can round into form. Or maybe Vogey or Timmy, all 5 CAN be good enough. We will see if they WILL be.

Sure, stellar pitching is nice, but I think if we can get good SP (which we have) in the playoffs, we can beat anyone in the NL. We've seen them, and they've seen us. Having a no-holes lineup of position players is a luxury which we've never really had before.

And we can move Timmy to the 'pen for the playoffs - been there, done that, won the trophy. No team scares me anymore.

But we're still 4 1/2 months away.
