Wouldn't hurt if that Damn Carrasco starting pitching like he doesn't belong in AAA

Yep. Neither he or Bower have carried their momentum from last year's 2nd half. Salazar's been pretty nasty since being called up.

Kluber dominating does not at all surprise me. That the Twins have won 13 of their last 18? Well, that's a whole other story.

Who knows ... perhaps Mike Pelfrey, in his tenth major league season, finally "gets it". :noidea:

If Trevor Bauer gets back on track today, his matchup against Wacha could be a good one.

Miley got completely outpitched by Sonny Gray yesterday. Miley got the win and Gray got the loss. Hilarious.

About time the Sox took a series.

He was throwing bb's last night. Hoping that was the turning point to get him back on his CY track. The Indians' offense has been rocking since they put Kipnis at leadoff, Kluber returning to form would be a big boost for the team.

Kluber was filthy last night. I was watching the 6th-8th innings. Salazar looked great the other day, too. That team has a lot of nice pieces. I just hope ol' Tito's painkiller addiction doesn't derail their chances.

Wacha's about done, though. 99 pitches. Bauer starting the 6th @ 77.

I think that painkiller bit had more to do with the Boston FO's need to smear Red Sox heroes on the way out of the door.

I said it earlier, I think they're leading the AL in OPS since they put Kipnis in the leadoff spot (small sample, I know, but I'll take it). If Kluber/Bauer/Carrasco can get their collective shit together and the offense keeps rolling, maybe they can put their hat back in the ring. They dug a pretty good hole, though.

@cerealboi Are you still i contact with Snoogins? I've always enjoyed his "baseball is dying" commentary and thought he would like this. It's on Grantland, FYI.

Last year, only the Indians and Rays failed to draw at least 20,000 fans per home game. In 1984, 11 of 26 teams fell below that level, and in 1974, only five of 24 topped it. As Scott Lindholm showed last year, attendance has increased dramatically during the years in which baseball’s been dying.

Couple that data with the fact that the teams are making more money than they ever have from attendance, ridiculous TV deals and MLBAM operations, anyone that thinks baseball is dying is cocktarded.
