49ers have no shot here. I would be shocked if we even kept it close. D will let up a lot of points here.

New Orleans defense isn't good for anything besides late hits out of bounds, so we should score, just not enough.

Yeah...we might crack the 20 pt barrier. I'd say a good half of those points will come late in the fourth when the game is irrelevant. The Saints may drop 20......and then head into the second quarter.

I disagree, I think we have a good 1st half again. struggle in the 2nd half

Who cares? SF moved the ball on the first drive, so it's a good start for Kaepernick and the offense.

Good job holding New Orleans under 50 points and 600 total yards.

Saw the 1st half, not the 2nd. I knew NO offense would just eat 49er D up and our offense can't keep up. Going for top couple of pics. Is there even a winnable game on the schedule?

Kaepernick pads his stats like 2-3 times a game with the snap and pitch shovel pass where the sweeping RB runs in front of the QB and Kaep pops in five inches out instead of handing off - boom, 31 yard pass! No fumble risk - just incompletion risk. Brilliant. :)

But the real brilliance was the Arians-like (not cheating but, you know) intentional defensive holding in the last minute of the first half. I'm surprised Sean Payton didn't call a passing play the next snap out of frustration.

Kaepernick's performance was as much an abberation as the defensive performance week 1 against the Rams. The only thing this confirms is that the Saints D is near our level in ineptitude. I want to say it's Kelly scheming guys open, because there were a LOT of wide open players that any QB in the league - yes...even Blaine Gabbert - would connect on, but I doubt it.

The run defense is historically bad - no team in NFL history has allowed a 100 yard rusher in seven consecutive games - and it's a collective effort. It's as if the concept of gap control isn't even taught. Congrats SF for the achievement.

I get that the talent is fully tattered, but there seems to be something more here. I get a sense that there are a lot of guys who might not even care, just as long as the cheque is in the mail - a scene that Frank Gore pointed out a good decade + ago, when SF was garbage. It pissed him off then, and I'd like to think that if true, there should be guys in the current locker room that are equally as pissed.

So far, nothing has come of it.....yet.

Kap with a monster game, again D doesnt show up. Cant win games when your D gives up 38pts a game. DC needs to get fired.

Kaps best game by far. Looked good. Had 1 bad Int but overall did a good job. Also had 2 bad series in a row. Overall did a very good job. There isnt much to say this team sucks and doesnt matter who the QB is.

Harris looks really good. No clue why Mike Davis was in on goal line. That was a big fumble at the 1. Defense is just bad.

Oline played well

TE's had a good day
WR's so so day. patton had a big game.

Dline sucks again. Armstead and Buckner looking like a Bust. I think it might be scheme.
LBs really suck
Secondary sucks

MVP Dawson is the man

Pretty good first half by Kaepernick. As usual, fell apart in the second half once the defense made adjustments. Back under 50% completion percentage and only 60 yards after halftime.
Don't suppose it matters though when you give up 250 yards rushing and lose the turnover batlte 4 to 0

I agree. Defense can't stop anyone and our offense isn't going to be able to keep up
It was fairly close until Davis' fumble at the goal line. That took the wind out of the 49ers' sails.

This team will set the franchise record for consecutive losses at 10 with a loss at Miami on 11/27 and finish the season at 1-15 (6-26 since Harbaugh's departure). Baalke will still keep his job to have the opportunity to screw up another draft.

Of the players who were interviewed after the game yesterday, only Bethea and Staley showed frustration. Smith was also short with his answers to the media.
