IMO the problem starts at the top.
Yorks need to take a long walk off a short pier.
Smith isn't the answer. Gawd I can't stand the thought of another year with him.
he's just the stopgap until Kaepernick is ready to play.
Does it really matter who the 3rd QB is? If the 49ers are playing him, then the season has gone really downhill. Which would make the two trolls in this thread exceedingly happy.
Not to be a stick in the mud but I don't have high hopes for Kap either.
Not long term. Maybe he'll prove me wrong but I am not holding my breath.
I rather they sign Daunte maybe they still have plans for him too. Let him and McCown battle it out for the 3rd spot a lil competition dont hurt nobody
I see Kap doing well, he will work very hard to be the best he can be in the NFL. We both know first hand that when he really wants something he gets it.
he just needs a year or two to ajust.
How many games has he even started? Hopefully smith stays healthy.
I think its clear at this point that they only wanted an emergency arm, McCown is a hot poop sandwich. I was hoping they would bring in Culpepper for leadership and experience but they decided to add neither.
Kind of a waste of a roster spot though. If the Alex Smith experiment fails again this year, they should at least have a quarterback available who can play, don't you think?
