I didn't say I agree with it but it could of happened.

Not the argument at all. We are not in the position for a 1st or 2nd overall pick in the draft. Why cant you see this?

Dean you expect and tried to sell outlaw that taking KC was better then taking grap expecting they will shell out huge bank for a guy you say can’t cut it

If we let KC go then we are looking at grap potentially

Why do you think anyone would take our ash and trash and pay huge bank to do it when you and the other ABC ers feel he is just an overpaid stiff .

Shouldn’t we keep him if he is what shark and I say he is ? And what you are trying to sell 49er fans he is ?

The 49ers don't have a team around him to succeed this year. This is not a show me year fro Grap. This trade means he is the guy. Grap is going to get 25m next season no matter how he plays this year. Plus the Redskins didn't have the option of having the #1 or #2 pick in the draft to get a QB. Bad example socal.

And Cousins does have a team around him at this time to succeed? LOL. Remove QB from the equation & the 49ers probably have a better offense than the Redskins. What makes you think that a team needs to have a fully stocked offense in order to evaluate a QB?

Disagree completely w/ you on this one - the 49ers no doubt want to evaluate Garappolo for the remainder of this season & it will factor into the decision to keep him.

What if he doesn't want to stay here? He is worth more to the 49ers than any other team.

They will not cut lose Grap after this year. that is ridiculous.

Plus if the 49ers offered there 2nd for Grap why not just throw in there 1st and offer both picks to us for KC. How could Kyle have more confidence in Grap than KC.

BTW Dean - an evaluation of a QB is just not about whether the QB leads a team to victories over a short stretch. These guys are pros & - unlike you - they understand constraints & talent shortages & factor that into their evaluation. Let's say the 49ers only win a few games or less yet Garappolo still does well & shows potential. That is reason enough to retain him. They are just going to say "He sucks - he couldn't even win half his games this season". Again - you don't need talent across the roster to make an educated evaluation of a QB.

You really think the 49ers are going to get rid of Grap in 2018. That is insane.

Probably no (as I stated) but if it turned out that he was not all that it is a possibility. Again - Pats QBs usually do poorly after they are traded. Let me get this straight - it is good business practice for the Redskins to keep tagging Cousins & evaluate him for several years. However - for the 49ers to even consider not extending this guy is stupid in your opinion. Whatever you say - hypocrite.

Again - no I don't think they will, but it is possible & you are contradicting yourself since this is totally contrary to the logic you used for the Cousins situation.

Really? So let's say that he throws several pick sixes in tight games & the 49ers lose? Let's say he is ineffective all season? They just say "NP - the team around him is terrible - sign him". OK - fair enough. Yet when Cousins does anything like this you go nuts & suggest that they move on from him. Maybe my bad & you only applied this to last season. That being the case if the Redskins remain in MASH unit mode for the remainder of the season then no evaluation is needed or valid for Cousins - he must be extended - correct?

How are they different? Cousins is probably playing on a worse offense rt now. If you are stating that both of these guys are not subject to evaluation THIS SEASON then I agree with you.

Just answer the question. Should Cousins be subject to any evaluation based on his play & overall success of the team THIS SEASON? Using your 49ers logic he should not be. 49ers have better RBs, probably better WRs & certainly a better OL at this time. Why should Cousins be subject to more scrutiny?

Is Grap going to paid the highest in the league? No.
Does Grap have more game experience than Kc? No
Do the Skins have a shot at the #1 0r #2 pick this year? No

Comparing the 49ers to the Skins right now? delusional.

What? What difference does it make in terms of the pay difference. Both are going to be paid very huge amts of $$. You are rt - Cousins does have more experience & a much better resume - good catch. As for the Redskins having the top pick - good catch again - Skins will likely have a lower pick so they need to retain Cousins since they have worse options.

My bad - you clarified this - the Redskins MUST keep Cousins for the long term. Thanks for the clarification.

BTW Dean - why in the hell do you keep coming back to this BS about Cousins being the highest paid guy in the NFL (if that happens). So what? This is your "Get of my lawn" mentality. He will get paid that way strictly due to timing. Any decent QB (which he is) is going to get a ton of money & on any given year it will be some random QB (Flacco, Stafford, Carr, etc). Give it a few years & Cousins will be like the 8th or 9th highest paid QB. Never quite understood why this bothers you so much.

Wrong. It is up to the Skins reaching out to him early & not presenting him with another insulting offer. You appear to have a blind spot in this area (fueled by your hatred for KC which you always deny).
