Yep, i'm sure Saleh wishes he could blitz more, but that opens up holes too. But if push comes to shove, rather blitz more and get burned as opposed to playing zone. Even average NFL QBs can be successful against zones, given time. By now we can see the D-linemen alone can't supply consistent pressure.

One thing this 49er team has shown is that if the other team has the ball at the end of the game, that team will win. They cannot close because they are incapable of creating a turnover.

Put this loss on the defense more than the offense. The Giants have a poor oline that has given up a lot of sacks this year the defense put up little pressure. The secondary gave up too many big plays and the miscommunication.

I agree. The defense simply cannot make a play when they need to. Horrendous DB play and zero pass rush is killing them. They've now lost on the final drive to the Chargers, Packers, Cardinals and Giants off the top of my head. The offense, however, also takes some responsibility for consistently settling for field goals instead of scoring TDs. They did it again in the 4th quarter last night.

Yes, there is no excuse for it. The Giants Oline is bad. Manning has been sacked over 30 times this year. Should have blitzed more. Reminds me of the Manusky days
