Generally 49er fans have been sorta classy. The Seahawk fans are a little nuts.......BUT! this is a rivalry and the niners just got spanked. You were not talkin' shit just a little? And now you want the Seahawks fans to "shut the fuck up"? Understand that you are just making yourselves look worse? Give em' their due.

As a whole, I don't agree that 49er fans should get a "classy" reputation.

Yes, some are, which happens in every fan base. But there are so many class-less fans in red and gold that they over whelm the group IMO.

I mean, 9er fans were escorted out of Century Link last night for blowing whistles in the stands. It caused the blocked punt when our players heard it and stood up thinking the play was dead. That's pretty classless.

That's what happened on that play? Makes sense during the replay when the announcers said the Seahawks players acted as the play was blown dead right as the ball was hiked.
If true, that's the kind of 3rd world classless shit you get from the Mexico soccer fans.

Yeah, I didn't notice at the game since it was so loud, but watching the replay you can clearly hear someone blow a whistle at least 3 times. A poster on the Hawks board was closer to the action at the game and said he saw a group of 9er fans who were blowing the whistle. Said they were escorted out of the game around halftime.

Why is a Patriot fan even worrying about it? I've seen classless fans in all fan bases...especially the Seahawks fan base, so lets not lump all fans together.

What you have to realize is that niner fans who whose team won the division, won the conference and were preparing to play in the super bowl....

And all we heard from seattle fans was "42-13"... over an over.

So to say we need to give credit where its due is a little off.

Typically we don't ask people with no class for their opinion on who is classy. So you can keep it to yourself.

Example of classy podunkparte post...

the most butt-hurt sore loser I've ever seen.

Perhaps your boyfriend should be using more lube (spit)

Since you completely lack any class yourself, I fail to see why you're piping up on the subject.

Its an odd rivalry if I can chime in myself. Both fan bases are huge so hard to generalize, but here I go. 9ers fan base is surprisingly ghetto and cocky. It almost has the feel of a nationality at times. The Seahawks fan base has this inferiority complex and this panicky sky is falling mentality the second one play or call goes against them. Seahawks fans also tend to think football is the single most important thing in the world.

Obviously extreme generalizations, but my 2 cents.

Class isn't something you'll find in large quantities amongst football fans in general. At least not the message forum types (as you can probably see). As in most other threads, they're extremely quick to call you a moron or tell you to go F*** yourself or something extremely vulgar and mean spirited over something as trivial as a game. It's a sad reality. Football can be a window into the soul somehow, and I'm usually not a fan of what I see.

I can't believe that Breaker, who troll-spammed the Seahawks ESPN board to the tune of 20 some troll-posts a day on average, is now lecturing people on class!!

Funny stuff!!

I can't disagree with these statements.

Are you upset because he got the lube bottle with sand and broken glass in it?

Please, give us more of your expertise on the subject of class, you identity-stealing nobody!

Worrying about it? I'm not worrying, I'm enjoying the rivalry. There has been enough talk from both sides. Seattle delivered but there is a lot of season left. I suspect both teams will be too. Should we have a truce? I have been called out by an angry Denver fan already for expecting me to mind my own business. Why should I? When I quit enjoying this, I'll be gone but it won't be because someone expects agreement.
