4 is so stupid I can't believe it. If they want to lower points for QB they should have a point for every 50 yards instead of 25.

granted qb's in leagues with 6 points per passing touchdown are naturally more valuable

300 yards and 2 TD = 18 points....or 3 TD = 24 (EARNED with 1 point/50 yards)

As opposed to...

300 yards and 2 TD = 24 points....or 3 TD = 30! (STUPID with 1 point/25 yards)

300 yards and 3 TD also = 24 with 4 points/TD, 1 point/25 yards...but like SP said, everyone else gets six, so

...it's all in the yards, IMO.

But to me if i in the same play two players get touchdown credits.......and one gets 4 for it, one gets 6........who was more important in the play?

Touchdowns put six points on the scoreboard, no reason fantasy should be any different. That's the only relevant point.

Well, guess I'm a minority here. The argument for passing TD's being worth 6 because the guy catching gets 6 is QB bias. The QB can throw to 5 or 6 guys while the ONE receiving it has only himself. Manning threw 51 last year - - no receiver on his team caught more than 14. That's 37 spread to OTHER players - - point is, he has a choice, the receiver does not.
I, myself, like a little more parity in scoring with the position players. But everyone has there own.

I never understood why it had to be one of the other. If it's not 6, then why does it have to be 4? That's why I do 5 points for a passing touchdown in my league, but I guess I'm crazy. I like the happy medium though. To me 6 seems like it makes quarterbacks more valuable than they should be and 4 makes them less valuable than they should be so 5 seems perfect.

Still, the yards is what bumps their points up. 200 yards passing is the easiest eight points in fantasy. Accomplished by probably 95% of the QB in the NFL...

It's just a matter of preference. 4, 5, or 6 points.....it just means adjusting your pre-draft rankings different for each. There are many leagues across the FFB(hell, all the fantasy sports) landscape that have scoring settings that are arguably more out there than 4 points per passing TD. What's most important for me is that the entire league agrees with the scoring matrix, whatever it may be. If everyone is happy then......everyone is happy.

One thing I will add in terms of scoring is something I've been thinking alot about since last season for some reason, why isn't there more bench scoring in FFB. Non-starters score in actual games but not in the majority of FFB leagues. I've been toying with the idea of including this in a Dynasty league I'm starting next year. Something like bench players(RB, WR, TE only as I envision it) score .25 points for each point they would score if you had started them. As an example, if you have Darren Sproles on your bench and he scores what would have been 16 points as a started he would still get you 4 points.

I'd say QBs are more valuable in the NFL.

(As their contracts attest.)

really depends on the league... if it is a 2 QB league, then i would say 4 is better just to keep the value normal...

But the 2qb league is not your standard.. So the scoring would not be standard... As long as it's clear before the draft .. Most people go into a league thinking it's standard system which would be the 6 across the board
