Always sucks when a kid gets injured. Maybe he'll come back like Stroman did last year though.

This Dodger pitcher I've never heard of has a no hitter going through 6 against the Giants.
And it's his ML debut.

Coming off TJ and had just hit pitch #100 and was losing his control. Taking him out was the right thing to do. Just didn't pay off for the dogs.

Coming off TJ and had just hit pitch #100 and was losing his control. Taking him out was the right thing to do. Just didn't pay off for the dogs.

Definitely the right call. The homer Brown hit wasn't a meatball either, he just stayed on top of it and drove it. It was a breaking ball low, inside and a bit off the plate. I wasn't too pleased with leaving Wood in yesterday but taking Stripling out was the right call. Even if he gets through the 8th then he's looking at 120-130 pitches, which is a tall order for someone coming off of TJ and making his first career start. Really liked what I saw though, his Curve was filthy tonight. Might have found a bit of a gem there.

Not too happy with all the whining from the Dodgers. They weren't complaining when Stripling was getting calls off the plate, got to take that slug to the chin like men and respond, not bitch about the Umps. That's been the thing about this Dodgers team in recent years, lots of talent but if they get punched in the mouth they don't always respond like the Giants do. Hopefully that changes this year.
