Should we start a pool on how many at bats before Longoria gets his first hit? I'm going with 20 at bats before a hit. I was thinking 25 but he has to get a hit before then, right?

I missed the pregame festivities (busy at work today) but I caught some of B-Weezy in the booth on the radio.

So he is back in the fold now? Glad to hear it. He is a wound up tight kinda guy, and he got wrapped up in a stupid little mini-feud. Let’s move on from it and accept him with open arms moving forward.

Too bad Blach had another meltdown in the 5th. Now our 2nd best hitter is out of the lineup.

I wonder if the Giants gonna get above .500 the rest of the season. My guess is a bottom 5 team and no one wanting to make any trades with the Giants so we are stuck with these bums

McCutchen and Pence are both free agents after this season and Jackson is a free agent after 2019. If he turns out to be un-necessary, his salary is so low that it would be easy to release him. As for the rest of the lineup . . .

For me its about Samardzja and Cueto. They are eating up so much money

Yea his best years were TB a few years ago.

What kind of contract did he just sign with you guys ?

Tough home opener for you guys infront of a big crowd.

I pulled up tickets page for SF Giants an hour or so before this game and the team Giants .org is selling upper level seats for $100+ and seats down the baselines near the ball girl for $200+ ??

Is it that expensive all games there in SF or just because today was Opening Day ?

Seattle Safeco field prices are: 300 lvl nose bleeders are $30-45ea and field level near the ballgirl are around $65 ish ea and lower box dugout infield seats around $85ish - all have small bullshit ticketmonster fees added

When do the hitters report for Spring Training? They appear to be missing. Futile offense for the third straight year. Disappointing.
I do think we need to give them at least the full month of April before we label this offense as pathetic, but they are certainly off to horrible start.

We picked him up in a trade from the Rays. He is signed through the 2022 season with a team option for 2023. In my opinion, that trade was the most puzzling of the deals the Giants' FO made this past off season. It was also the most we gave up in prospects.

He's got five more years, but Tampa Bay ate a lot of his money. I think the Giants are on the hook for like $10M or less a year.

It is a little weird that every single run on the Giants this year has scored via the homer. Only five runs, but still.
