Wonderful!

Just got back from a wedding at the LA Arboretum, and reception in Sierra Madre.

You guys have done well (no jinx!) to get us a lead this late in the game.

Props to Tim are due imo.

Dude went 8 strong without his best stuff, and only gave up 1ER. Gives me faith that he can still have a good year!

Wow, did I just nap through an entire game?

Between the draft and dabbling on the niners board, I totally missed tonight's game.

Major props to Colin for being the workhorse of this thread.

I guess these types of games should be expected anytime they play the Pads.

Stat line is good but no more Timmy:flame:??

Man, who ever would have thought Tim would be throwing 86-88 MPH fastballs?

If he channels his inner Maddux and can be successful without that 90s stuff, then great, but here's to hoping he doesn't go all Zito on us.

It's looking more and more like the Giants ducked a bullet because Timmy wouldn't sign a long-term contract.

Honestly, it looks like heat throwing Tim is done. BUT, he was hitting 90 in the 8th... Granted, he was also hitting 86 in the 3rd.... so I don't know exactly what that means.

Maybe he just need to learn to pitch with his diminished velocity, and get a better feel for the decreased speed. With his change, curve, and slider - I still think he's a top of the rotation arm, maybe just not league best ace.

There are two things that worry me more than Timmeh's diminshed velocity.

1)Timmeh has so many moving parts. While his off-speed pitches are excellent, can he throw them consistently where he wants to?

2) Will the guy break down over time? Is he already breaking down? How many guys of his size have remained dominant into their 30s?
