Because of the rainout on Sunday and the doubleheader on Monday. It's Timmy's turn, but he's only had three days rest.

Well, at least we turned the lineup over. All the breaks are going against us so far -- two well struck line outs, runner caught trying to steal third on first move.

Let's review the last inning: ground out, single (271 hitter), single (228 hitter), single (242 hitter) (runner caught trying to advance), single (215 hitter), strikeout. Un-fucking-good.

I've seen worse (in 2011, in fact). But it was usually Zito.

Puddles tonight with RISP: 3 for 7 (with a WP supplied by JA)

Giants tonight with RISP: 1 for freaking 9 (and the beat goes on) At least Bam Bam got knighted today, or something like that. Wish he could teach these guys to hit when it matters.

Was Melky walking to first or something? I thought he had more speed than that.

This ^^ plus boneheaded plays on defense are the reason the Giants are only treading water early in the season.

Still feeling good overall about the club - the ceiling for this team is much higher than last year's competitive squad.

Pagan with a lot more pop in his bat than expected but needs to get that OBP up..I could see him as a run producer, bat him lower in the order and put a guy like arias at leadoff when he plays..dude has wheels and tries to get on base any which way possible.

i was surprised. we showed up to the park to see Franchez hitting. he took bp. only saw him take a couple hacks though.

also, Posey's home was like 3 feet from me. if i had a glove i might have made a play for it, but fuck that, that thing was coming in hard.

had fun messing with a padres fan, but all he had to do was mention the score and i kinda had to shut up.

Is there any way to know if we're getting into scoring position more than last year? It seems the team is hitting decently, but we are lacking an ideal 5th-spot hitter to knock these guys in.

Might be time to put Burriss or Nate in the second spot and Melky 5th?

I second this! A 3-4-5 of Pablo, Posey, and Melky sounds potent.

We need old freddy back to hit #2
