How the fuck do you guys do it? Are you all in school? If not, do your supervisors not check on you ever at work? Do you not have / just ignore family and girlfriends in the evening?

I can barely read three threads after dinner before I get some deathstares from the significant other. So whipped....

I work in front of a computer all day long and I have a fair amount of freedom from my boss. I'm one of those people that needs to be hyper-stimulated in order to focus. If I sat in a quiet room and couldn't putter around online, I wouldn't be able to concentrate on my work actually. I usually have my headphones on and a few windows open while I'm working.

And nope, no family or SO! And my house doesn't have a TV so if I'm not at practice or out with friends on the evening, I'll watch games or TV online and multitask with other windows up.

But yeah, without twitter, tsn, hfboards, etc... I wouldn't make it through the day.

Hey, I'm just a guy who loves numbers, whether or not they mean anything. I mean, let's be real, those numbers they assign to situations in optics don't mean a darned thing.

But congratulations on your position! If I hadn't gotten into physical chemistry, I would have wanted to be a sports statistician. Let me know if it's all I think it's cracked up to be.

I am kinda suprised I'm close to the top of the posting list. I'm the 19th person (of the hockey crew, left out the largely football/main board people) to hit 3,000 posts. I rarely post at work, but will stop in at lunch some days. I haven't had a long-term g'friend since a couple months before this site got rolling. And I was unemployed for a few months last year. All those factors help a little. After 3 serious g'friends taking up about 8.5 of the last 11 years, I'm enjoying a little solitary - for real.
