Does this team ever miss Ralphie Torres right now, that shit doesn't happen with him on the ice. Secondly Nemo looked awfully flat on his angle on that 2nd goal, nice shot but save able

Jones is very technically sound but he's a very slow goalie to bad the sharks can't get him moving because the kings d is protecting him very well

How will the Sharks respond in the 3rd?

A - Pack it in

B - Strong Effort for around 10 min

C - Solid 20 min

D - None of the above

Actually, it's E for EMBARRASSMENT. Sharks are pulling the typical, same old garbage act as in the past. Tough to be a fan of this damn, mentally-weak team.

so incred9ibly clear the difference between a cup contender and a "good" team. LA clearly has the killer instinct. They are up 2-0 in the 3rd and come out and crush the sharks in the 3rd. The sharks have opened up several good leads, and then either fully blown em, or survivived to hang on. Its so clearly obvious the work ethic difference as well. They work harder is all 3 zones and play complete games. Doesnt matter who is in net, the guys are working well...

I can see why deano was canned and succeeded so well in LA. Part of it his high picks like doughty, but alot is the work ethic and consistency he requires. He's a dick, nasty, tough, and demanding. He doesnt pamper guys like todd. His best players are his hardest workers.

The sharks havent played a game like this that they won since their first week or two of the year. They havent played a solid 60 minutes and really kept up the 3 zone pressure like LA is in months. Its not that they cant or dont have the talent, but they just dont. I have no clue how to change it or instill a better culture. Perhaps you cant transform up and down guys like the sharks leadership for a generation.

You just watch chicago or LA and you can see the never quit, 60 minute efforts and really work ethic. It's so hard to watch teams like that...

Injuries have had a huge impact on the sharks roster rules, name one time this season they've had a full roster? Secondly teams slump, it is what it is for now

actually theyve had very few injuries. Torres hurts, and Ill give you that. Burish is irrelevant. Theyve had havlat back for 21 games and theyve had a pretty much full roster sans torres for many games. But everyone has injuries. LA has arguably the best goalie in the league out and is playing their 3rd stringer. The sharks basically have played with a healthy top 6 D all year. They havent had an injury to any of their top 4 (pavs, cooch, jumbo, patty). and really only havlat (and torres) has been out for any extended time. I guess burns too for some time.

I dont think injuries are the key. They just dont have the work ethic. You see it on the PP, too. Special teams are especially about outworking and 1 on 1 battles. The sharks PP with all the big last names sucks. The PK is so-so. They are slow, deliberate, stagnant, and losing battles all over the ice. The sharks are good team. They are well above average, but when you compare with the real top 2 or 3 teams in the West, name chicago and LA, its night and day. To those 2 teams, the sharks have been outscored 11-4 in 3 games with 2 losses by at least 3 goals and their only win was a SO after they blew a 3rd period lead. Its night and day...

They don't have the intangibles necessary to be a champion, which has shown itself over the last few years.

btw, a slump is a slump but the sharks are under .500 over the last 2 months. its not a bad couple weeks, it's a bad 1/4 of a season...

I really wanna see the sharks moving havlat. Eventually torres will be back and havlat has added nothing to the lineup. The sharks are 10-11 since he came back. He is expensive and lazy, and the sharks really need to continue the restock.
