Zach Zarba confirms the Pacers got screwed. His season should be done

QUESTION: Upon review, was the kicked ball call against Aaron Nesmith deemed to be correct?

ZARBA: On the floor we felt that would be a kicked ball violation. Post game review did show that it hit the defender’s hand, which would be legal.

Refs did not decide this game.

Knicks shot 54 percent from the field and 48 percent from three... Pacers gotta get those numbers down if they're going to win.

It was fun to watch. Totally opposite playing styles and neither team was able to force their style long enough to build a big lead.

I just dont understand why the kick ball isnt reviewable

Absolutely bizarre place to draw the line on challenges.
I wonder if it’s because of how to resolve it. Let’s say they challenge that play and determine Indiana didn’t kick the ball. Then what? Do they get the ball? Do the Knicks just inbound it?

Feel like it would have to be similar to the challenge on the Brunson foul over turned to steal. If ball deflected into clear possession give it to that team.

Five years ago I would not have approved of the Obi Toppin between the leg... But now? Love it!!!

Totally agree. It was tied at 115 before that BS kick ball. Would have resulted in a pacers steal if the refs didn't decide to cheat for the knicks. Play ends up as a knicks 3.

Just can't happen and nothing will happen to this crew.

You will see them back at Thursday in OKC or Boston

You really need to stop saying this type of stuff.

Both calls were bad.

Both reviews were by the book.

Change the rules and let the refs actually get the call right.

The ref called a kick ball because he thought it was a kicked ball. Not because he is “cheating” for the Knicks.

Not a good look when a coach admits indirectly that I know when we play here the refs will screw us

Ever been in a locker room?

Every coach at every level says that to their team before and during road games.

Don’t expect to get the calls going your way on the road. Fans have a subconscious effect on calls the officials make.

Control the things you can control.

And if Carlisle is as good a coach as I think he is, he will be focused on what Indiana can do differently to finish the job and get a win in game 2.

Not what the refs can do differently.

I’m not. Every game the Knicks played at home been shitty officiating and that’s not by coincidence. They are not calling the game the same for both teams. Brunson hits turner with his body before getting the ball and the idiots ref review it and say he never fouled turner. I have watched the refs steal a win away from the Knicks opponent 2x now at msg and this was only the Knicks 4th home playoffs game

This game did little to quell the conspiracy theories about NBA officiating, that is for sure.

1) overturned a clear foul on Brunson that everyone saw was a foul

2) called kick ball in a tied game with less than a minute to go when the ball hit the hand and not the foot. Led to the game winning basket

3) called a moving screen that isn’t called in the same situation in preseason or the regular season

It was the moving screen for me. How can you watch a replay of number 1 and make that ruling through video and then reward Jay Wright’s ginger fuck for flopping like that?

Brunson to the line again 14 times through grifting and flopping. Fucking sad. But I agree with @tlance. I don’t think there are shenanigans going on. I just think that NBA officials are the worst officials of the 4 major sports and that they’re abject pussies in big arenas like MSG. Carlisle is right. Just accept the reality that the game plan has to entail 5 beating 8 and you have to leave no doubt.

The refs being ass is saving Haliburton. That boy was freaking trash last night. If they close with TJ over him, I think they win and doesn’t allow the refs to get so involved to screw them over

The lack of consistency with the officiating is the worst part. It’s not like they are predictably calling games tough or loose or whatever.

When does the cheating stop @fightinfunbags

How many plays did they fuck up??? That is a game where it is a fireable offense it was such bad officiating. Not sure I have seen one as bad. Yikes. Indiana played well too they should get a chance to win it on the last shot. Shame on the officiating for this one
