Angst as in so many wanting him gone like last year (not saying you did this time)....but for Brown? wont happen but think you'd have to if it could.

He’s not a good fit in bos either with pritch and white

Now you wanna talk about Allen and okoro for jrue and we off

Obviously this deal wont happen. Heard some Jrue for DG rumor which also not happening (especially if it sends DG to Boston).....but each deal was a 3 way trade and not even sure under CBA Cavs can do that.

I could see moving Allen - really anyone but Mobley - but would have to be clear upgrade and that deal you mention is not IMO.

Guessing the Cavs mostly run it back like they did last offseason.....if it helps them to make other deals could see Okoro being moved or not keeping Merrill.

Knicks one and only chance to close right here tonight. If they lose, I don't see any way they win a game 7 in Boston.

I don’t mean to jump on ya here, because I get your point, but there are innate features an individual may have other than physiological abilities that may enable them to be competitively advanced like cognitive spatial awareness that cannot be taught which would make a Brunson rarer than you say

Of course there are.

And I am not saying just anyone can develop into what Brunson has become. Of course that isn’t true.

But if you have a kid who plays basketball, who are you showing them clips of to learn how to play?

Guys like Brunson or Curry?

Or guys like Anthony Edwards and Giannis?

Pretty obvious answer

Once again you’re missing the point

How many high school kids going up against nba players to challenge them, teach them the tricks.. all that comes along with such exposure

Ya the typical book smart no
Common sense !

Nah, I never once said anything about Brunson’s skills being easy to replicate.

well, I guess I just got stuck on your line “Most good high school teams have players with Jalen Brunson level athleticism.”
… maybe you meant ‘really’ good high school teams

Yep. You can't coach someone into being Giannis. You are or you aren't

Athleticism yes. I meant that.

Spatial awareness, cognitive skills, actual basketball skills no.

He is probably top 1% on all of that.

I can see the Celtics losing a game seven on their own court. Happened two years when the dug themselves a hole they couldn't get out of against the Heat.

… you can’t coach a kid into being a stef curry either

pasta could show a kid the proper path to becoming the next Steph.

Wasn't he a professional basketball player or was it baseball? Shouldn't matter anyway.

Yes and no.

Obviously, Steph has talent that can't be taught...but the main thing that he's known for, is his shooting.

So, while you can't teach his talent, you can teach the skill of shooting.

So maybe you can't teach a kid to be Steph, you can teach him to shoot like Steph and maybe he becomes a very reliable spot up shooter.

… so what if the kid’s 6’4 in 8th grade and can dunk the ball?
I’m bustin’ now … I DO get your point but I’ll stop the discussion of the rarities of different skill sets and which to use as teaching aides for a particular younger player … I’ll stop mostly though cuz my only teammate here is the goomba above and we don’t have a shot

… cuz of him

Skill vs pure athleticism man. Giannis is 1 in a million. Steph is built like me.

lol … yeah, like you can relate

… and they’re both much less than 1 in a million

Are you saying Stephs build is elite? Come on man. He is the most elite shooter ever, that is muscle memory. That can be trained. Being 6 foot 11 with 4 percent body fat and can jump out of a gym can't be taught.
